Straw Poll Victory
Over the last couple of weeks travelling around the district listening to voters and small business owners, I have felt a surge of energy and momentum toward our campaign. It is clear that our message of less government, lower taxes, more freedom and taking back our country from Nancy Pelosi is resonating stronger than ever. The positive feedback I have been getting has never been higher. Voters want a proven reformer in Congress and they know my record of cutting spending and reforming government as State Treasurer.
With less than four weeks to go until the September 14th Primary, people sense we can win this race and, more importantly, win this seat in November.
Our energy and momentum was validated today with the results of a Straw Poll conducted on the Jeff Katz Show on Rush Radio 1200AM. We won the poll with 80% of the vote. Our opponent, Jeff Perry, garnered just 15% of the vote. Five percent of the participants wrote-in Jeff Katz.

I am pleased to report that these results follow the trend of the strong numbers we are receiving with our nightly voter identification numbers as well as the response we are getting as we go door-to-door asking for support.
I am humbled by the support and I am confident that we will only build on this energy and momentum as we move toward Primary Election Day on September 14, 2010.
