10th Congressional District Candidate Joe Malone and recent Dennis-Yarmouth High School graduate Evan Tuohy-Bedford will appear on FM 96.9 tonight with host Michele McPhee. Joe and Evan will both discuss the recent controversy at the High School where two teachers, during the graduation ceremonies, protested the war as six students, including Evan, received plaques honoring their decision to enter into the United State Military. Evan is set to head to Paris Island to join the United States Marine Corps in two weeks.
“I am outraged by the display of disrespect shown by two teachers at the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School graduation ceremony. This event was intended to be a momentous occasion for the six brave graduates joining our armed forces, and that deserving recognition should not have been clouded by the personal politics of these two teachers.
These two should be held accountable for using the taxpayer’s money and stage as a means for delivering their own personal agenda. Teachers are there to educate and support our children – not to indoctrinate or intimidate them. I suggest these two individuals look for another line of work.”
